Quantity Breeds Quality

🚀 Lesson Learned: Quantity Breeds Quality 📸
“I’m making too many mistakes” is what my son told me yesterday as we were reading a new book. I was talking to him about how practicing and just by doing more of it will help him get better.

I knew EXACTLY how he felt. It got me thinking about past moments when I was struggling to see my progress too.

Want to get better at something? Does perfectionist tendencies hold you back?

It reminded me of an old but fascinating photography class experiment. Professor Jerry Uelsmann divided students into “quantity” and “quality” groups, discovering something counterintuitive: the students who were graded on producing more photos consistently created better work than those obsessing over perfection.

The key takeaway? Progress comes through action, experimentation, and continuous practice in any field.

Stop overthinking and start doing: embrace quantity as your path to mastering your craft.
